Auction result fails to reach estimate
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work “Patti Hansen Over Manhattan”, 1977, from the series “Helmut Newton Special Collection 24 Photo Lithos” by Helmut Newton for DKK 2,100.00 (€ 281.87). This price was achieved in the auction Modern art and design at Bruun Rasmussen and was even lower than the DKK 3,000.00 estimate set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Helmut Newton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Big Nude III" (Variation), Paris in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,340,000.00 (€ 2,180,598.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit “Patti Hansen Over Manhattan”, 1977, from the series “Helmut Newton Special Collection 24 Photo Lithos” von Helmut Newton für DKK 2.100,00 (€ 281,87) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern art and design bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb des vom Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreises von DKK 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Helmut Newton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Big Nude III" (Variation), Paris im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.340.000,00 (€ 2.180.598,27).
