Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gothic church interior; and Another similar by Henry Thomas Schäfer was sold in the The Sunday Sale: The Collection of the Late Mr Peter Michallat auction at Christies in London in January 2011. The price achieved of GBP 937.50 (€ 1,052.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Thomas Schäfer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Banquet in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 37,343.68).
