Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henry Thomas Schäfer could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Sunday Sale: The Collection of the Late Mr Peter Michallat auction, the work St. Lorent, Rouen changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 701.42) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Thomas Schäfer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Banquet in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 37,343.68).
