Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christy Turlington, Valentino 7, Miami, 1995 by Herb Ritts was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 7,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herb Ritts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Versace Dress, Back View, El Mirage in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 158,500.00 (€ 220,377.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Christy Turlington, Valentino 7, Miami, 1995 von Herb Ritts kam im Juni 2021 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 7.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herb Ritts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Versace Dress, Back View, El Mirage im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 158.500,00 (€ 220.377,57).
