Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work Tina Turner, Hollywood, 1989 by Herb Ritts for USD 8,190.00 (€ 8,244.41). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 9,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herb Ritts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Versace Dress, Back View, El Mirage in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 158,500.00 (€ 220,377.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Tina Turner, Hollywood, 1989 von Herb Ritts für USD 8.190,00 (€ 8.244,41) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 9.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herb Ritts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Versace Dress, Back View, El Mirage im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 158.500,00 (€ 220.377,57).
