In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Seated Bather by Jacques Lipchitz. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 93,750.00 (€ 109,865.75), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Lipchitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure in November last year with an auction result of USD 4,380,000.00 (€ 4,242,952.63).

Im März 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seated Bather von Jacques Lipchitz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 109.865,75) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Lipchitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.380.000,00 (€ 4.242.952,63).
