Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work Four Works: (i) Untitled (ii) Untitled (iii) Untitled (iv) Untitled by James Jarvis for HKD 7,620.00 (€ 886.46). This price was achieved in the auction Let Loose: Online Auction at Phillips in 29 June - and was even below the estimate range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Jarvis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Three Works), which sold at auction in May 2021 for HKD 27,720.00 (€ 2,930.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Four Works: (i) Untitled (ii) Untitled (iii) Untitled (iv) Untitled von James Jarvis für HKD 7.620,00 (€ 886,46) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Let Loose: Online Auction bei Phillips in 29 June - erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von James Jarvis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Three Works) beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für HKD 27.720,00 (€ 2.930,22) versteigert wurde.
