This artwork by Jean (Hans) Arp achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2012. In the The Art of The Surreal Evening Sale auction, the work Balcon I sold for GBP 1,497,250.00 (€ 1,787,756.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean (Hans) Arp - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Déméter, which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 5,825,000.00 (€ 5,144,396.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean (Hans) Arp erzielte im Februar 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Art of The Surreal Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Balcon I für GBP 1.497.250,00 (€ 1.787.756,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean (Hans) Arp mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Déméter beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 5.825.000,00 (€ 5.144.396,36) versteigert wurde.
