Upper estimate price exceeded by 26 %.
In April this year Christies in Paris held the auction Art Impressionniste & Moderne, which included the work Animal by Jean Dubuffet. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,080.00 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Dubuffet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paris Polka in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 24,805,000.00 (€ 22,562,306.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art Impressionniste & Moderne durch, in der auch die Arbeit Animal von Jean Dubuffet zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.080,00 und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Dubuffet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paris Polka im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.805.000,00 (€ 22.562.306,71).
