This artwork by Jean Louis Forain achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in June 2021. In the Julians Park and Six Private Collections: Live auction, the work Nue Au Lit sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,554.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Louis Forain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La femme aux affiches in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,692,500.00 (€ 1,450,299.91).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Louis Forain erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Julians Park and Six Private Collections: Live wurde die Arbeit Nue Au Lit für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.554,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Louis Forain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La femme aux affiches im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.692.500,00 (€ 1.450.299,91).
