The work Tête cubiste by Jean Metzinger was sold in the Oeuvres Modernes sur Papier auction at Christies in Paris in March 2018. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 125,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Metzinger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Cycliste in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 3,015,000.00 (€ 3,494,391.84).

Die Arbeit Tête cubiste von Jean Metzinger wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Oeuvres Modernes sur Papier bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 125.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Metzinger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Cycliste im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.015.000,00 (€ 3.494.391,84).
