Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art | New York, which included the work Le Chale indien by Jean-Pierre Cassigneul. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 40,320.00 (€ 34,335.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Pierre Cassigneul achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dans La Roseraie in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 893,000.00 (€ 656,328.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Chale indien von Jean-Pierre Cassigneul zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 34.335,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Pierre Cassigneul erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dans La Roseraie im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 893.000,00 (€ 656.328,09).
