In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Nuit d’été by Jean-Pierre Cassigneul. The »bidding war« ended at USD 187,500.00 (€ 160,668.38), 56% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jean-Pierre Cassigneul have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dans La Roseraie in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 893,000.00 (€ 656,328.09).

Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nuit d’été von Jean-Pierre Cassigneul zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 160.668,38) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Pierre Cassigneul auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dans La Roseraie im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 893.000,00 (€ 656.328,09).
