Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction ADAM: Works from the Collection of Adam Lindemann, which included the work Ushering in Banality by Jeff Koons. The price achieved of USD 3,900,000.00 (€ 3,587,196.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeff Koons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rabbit in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 91,075,000.00 (€ 81,688,940.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion ADAM: Works from the Collection of Adam Lindemann durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ushering in Banality von Jeff Koons zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.900.000,00 (€ 3.587.196,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000.000,00 – 5.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeff Koons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rabbit im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.075.000,00 (€ 81.688.940,71).
