Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans titre by Joan Mitchell was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. The price achieved of EUR 1,189,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Mitchell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November this year with an auction result of USD 29,160,000.00 (€ 26,732,673.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans titre von Joan Mitchell kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.189.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Mitchell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.160.000,00 (€ 26.732.673,27).
