Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (No. 427) by Joan Nelson for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,758.57). This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Joan Nelson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled #196 in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 19,120.00 (€ 14,420.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (No. 427) von Joan Nelson für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.758,57) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joan Nelson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled #196 im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.120,00 (€ 14.420,39).
