Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Christies in London held the auction LOVE STORIES - from the collection of Anne & Wolfgang Titze, which included the work Dream by John McCracken. The price achieved of EUR 226,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by John McCracken have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 965,000.00 (€ 913,652.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion LOVE STORIES - from the collection of Anne & Wolfgang Titze durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dream von John McCracken zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 226.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John McCracken auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 965.000,00 (€ 913.652,72).
