This artwork by John McCracken achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in May last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction, the work IOS sold for USD 151,200.00 (€ 140,900.20) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by John McCracken have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 965,000.00 (€ 913,652.72).

In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session wurde die Arbeit IOS für USD 151.200,00 (€ 140.900,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John McCracken auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 965.000,00 (€ 913.652,72).
