In November 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Llangennith Panorama by John Nash. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 44,000.00 (€ 49,118.85), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by John Nash have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Window In Bucks in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 375,000.00 (€ 440,528.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Llangennith Panorama von John Nash zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 44.000,00 (€ 49.118,85) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Nash auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Window In Bucks im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 375.000,00 (€ 440.528,40).
