In March this year Christies in London held the auction Contemporary Edition: London, which included the work Large Shelf Still Life by Jonas Wood. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,134.00 (€ 1,290.14), 62% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jonas Wood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Tables With Floral Pattern in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 6,510,000.00 (€ 5,338,691.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 62 % übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Contemporary Edition: London durch, in der auch die Arbeit Large Shelf Still Life von Jonas Wood zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.134,00 (€ 1.290,14) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jonas Wood erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Tables With Floral Pattern im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.510.000,00 (€ 5.338.691,16).
