In June last year Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary Day Auction, which included this untitled work by Jordy Kerwick. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 94,500.00 (€ 109,782.12), 58% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jordy Kerwick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chic Imagery, which sold at auction in May last year for HKD 2,142,000.00 (€ 254,301.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jordy Kerwick zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 94.500,00 (€ 109.782,12) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jordy Kerwick mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chic Imagery beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für HKD 2.142.000,00 (€ 254.301,37) versteigert wurde.
