This price was achieved in the auction The Aesthetic Interior: Reaturing Nineteenth Century Art and at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules LeRoy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kittens In A Sewing Box, which sold at auction in July 2001 for GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,480.42).
