Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Fleurs dans le ciel #7 by Junko Frank was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 200.00 – 300.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 125.00 (€ 110.39). Admittedly, works by Junko Frank have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poudre de fougère in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 750.00 (€ 662.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Fleurs dans le ciel #7 von Junko Frank im November 2018 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 125,00 (€ 110,39) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Junko Frank auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poudre de fougère im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 750,00 (€ 662,37).
