Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Grisebach held the auction Auktionen 237-246 - Moderne Kunst, which included the work „Die Klage“. by Käthe Kollwitz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 12,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 12,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Käthe Kollwitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Abschied“. in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 437,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Grisebach die Auktion Auktionen 237-246 - Moderne Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit „Die Klage“. von Käthe Kollwitz zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 12.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Käthe Kollwitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Abschied“. im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 437.500,00.
