Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stehende Frau by Karl Opfermann was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 6,375.00 (€ 7,387.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Opfermann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elend, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 20,540.54).

Die Arbeit Stehende Frau von Karl Opfermann kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.375,00 (€ 7.387,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Karl Opfermann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Elend beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 20.540,54) versteigert wurde.
