Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Fine Japanese Art, which included the work The Actor Ichikawa Danjuro Vi As Ono Sadakuro by Katsukawa Shunei. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,611.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Other works by Katsukawa Shunei have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2019 the work Two Sumo Wrestlers was auctioned for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,394.03).

Im Mai 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Fine Japanese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Actor Ichikawa Danjuro Vi As Ono Sadakuro von Katsukawa Shunei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.611,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Katsukawa Shunei konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2019 die Arbeit Two Sumo Wrestlers für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.394,03) versteigert.
