Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Companion (Black) by Kaws was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in November 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 1,416,000.00 (€ 159,820.54) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Companion (Black) von Kaws wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 1.416.000,00 (€ 159.820,54) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.600.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
