In the Impressionist and Modern Art including Russian and Latin American Art auction, the work Portrait Of A Woman sold for USD 15,000.00 (€ 9,876.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kees van Dongen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Quiétude in October this year with an auction result of GBP 10,775,000.00 (€ 12,372,693.51).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Kees van Dongen erzielte im Februar 2008 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art including Russian and Latin American Art wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Woman für USD 15.000,00 (€ 9.876,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kees van Dongen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Quiétude im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.775.000,00 (€ 12.372.693,51).
