The work Untitled (Waterdrops) by Kim Tschang-Yeul was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,397.22), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Tschang-Yeul achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Csh I in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 9,850,000.00 (€ 1,041,221.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Waterdrops) von Kim Tschang-Yeul wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.397,22) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Tschang-Yeul erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Csh I im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.850.000,00 (€ 1.041.221,09).
