Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Waterdrops) by Kim Tschang-Yeul was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. The price achieved of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 13,047.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Tschang-Yeul achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Csh I in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 9,850,000.00 (€ 1,041,221.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Waterdrops) von Kim Tschang-Yeul wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 13.047,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Tschang-Yeul erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Csh I im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.850.000,00 (€ 1.041.221,09).
