Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Revelations V by Kudzanai Chiurai for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,632.90). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kudzanai Chiurai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zimbabwean enterprise , which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,324.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Revelations V von Kudzanai Chiurai für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.632,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Kudzanai Chiurai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zimbabwean enterprise beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.324,99) versteigert wurde.
