Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2011 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction The BAT Artventure Collection formerly known as The Peter Stuyvesant Collection – Part Three, which included the work Study In Natural Mohair Tones by Kumi Sugai. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,375.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kumi Sugai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work KAGURA (Sacred Music and Dance) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 293,000.00 (€ 277,409.58).
