Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hand Painted Cloth Used as Flag by Lee Kit was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in March 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,526.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Lee Kit have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Johnson's- No More Tears in March 2015 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 52,543.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hand Painted Cloth Used as Flag von Lee Kit kam im März 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.526,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lee Kit auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Johnson's- No More Tears im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 52.543,99).
