The work From Point No. 780125 by Lee Ufan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 3,528,000.00 (€ 392,441.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Admittedly, works by Lee Ufan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work From Line, No. 760219 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit From Point No. 780125 von Lee Ufan kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 3.528.000,00 (€ 392.441,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lee Ufan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit From Line, No. 760219 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54).
