In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art | London, which included the work Deux Femmes De Pêcheur, Vues De Dos by Léon Spilliaert. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 44,100.00 (€ 48,969.29), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Léon Spilliaert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Digue et plage, Chalet Royal et galeries d'Ostende in March last year with an auction result of EUR 504,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art | London durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deux Femmes De Pêcheur, Vues De Dos von Léon Spilliaert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 48.969,29) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Léon Spilliaert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Digue et plage, Chalet Royal et galeries d'Ostende im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 504.000,00.
