Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Sunflowers by Leonard Rosoman was auctioned at Christies in London in March last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,928.06). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonard Rosoman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures in a curved street, Florence, which sold at auction in May last year for GBP 15,750.00 (€ 18,528.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Sunflowers von Leonard Rosoman im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.928,06) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonard Rosoman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures in a curved street, Florence beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für GBP 15.750,00 (€ 18.528,38) versteigert wurde.
