Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Christine Keeler, 1963 by Lewis Morley for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,850.71). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Lewis Morley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Christine Keeler, London, 1963 in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,900.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Christine Keeler, 1963 von Lewis Morley für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.850,71) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lewis Morley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Christine Keeler, London, 1963 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.900,55).
