Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract No. 201510 by Li Gang was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2018. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,377.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Gang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elements of Ink No. 20140320 in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,546.64).

Die Arbeit Abstract No. 201510 von Li Gang kam im September 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.377,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Gang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elements of Ink No. 20140320 im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.546,64).
