Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Gentle Meeting of Tips by Loie Hollowell was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 6,604,000.00 (€ 773,260.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 5,000,000.00 – 7,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Loie Hollowell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Linked Lingams (yellow, green, blue, purple, pink), which sold at auction in June 2021 for HKD 16,510,000.00 (€ 1,793,414.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Gentle Meeting of Tips von Loie Hollowell wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 6.604.000,00 (€ 773.260,85) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 5.000.000,00 – 7.000.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Loie Hollowell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Linked Lingams (yellow, green, blue, purple, pink) beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für HKD 16.510.000,00 (€ 1.793.414,08) versteigert wurde.
