Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2006 Christies in London held the auction Nordic Art andDesign, which included the work Reykjavik Harbour by Louisa Matthiasdottir. The price achieved of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,858.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Louisa Matthiasdottir have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2017 the work Three Sheep was auctioned for USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,340.20).

Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nordic Art andDesign durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reykjavik Harbour von Louisa Matthiasdottir zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.858,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Louisa Matthiasdottir konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2017 die Arbeit Three Sheep für USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.340,20) versteigert.
