The work Collecting Water by Lu Shibai was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. It achieved a price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 13,901.86), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Admittedly, works by Lu Shibai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nandina and Still Life in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 1,207,500.00 (€ 119,729.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Collecting Water von Lu Shibai kam im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 13.901,86) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lu Shibai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nandina and Still Life im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.207.500,00 (€ 119.729,05).
