This artwork by Lu Shibai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. In the Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Resting Lady sold for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 33,763.85) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lu Shibai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nandina and Still Life, which sold at auction in November 2012 for HKD 1,207,500.00 (€ 119,729.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lu Shibai erzielte im Mai 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Resting Lady für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 33.763,85) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lu Shibai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nandina and Still Life beobachtet, die im November 2012 für HKD 1.207.500,00 (€ 119.729,05) versteigert wurde.
