Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fisherman by Lu Shibai was sold in the Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. It changed hands for a price of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 10,426.40) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lu Shibai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nandina and Still Life in November 2012 with an auction result of HKD 1,207,500.00 (€ 119,729.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fisherman von Lu Shibai wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 10.426,40) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lu Shibai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nandina and Still Life im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.207.500,00 (€ 119.729,05).
