Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Candy Container by Luc Tuymans was auctioned at Phillips in London in June last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 352,800.00 (€ 409,853.24). Admittedly, works by Luc Tuymans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mrs. in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,482,500.00 (€ 1,899,640.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Candy Container von Luc Tuymans kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 350.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 352.800,00 (€ 409.853,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luc Tuymans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mrs. im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.482.500,00 (€ 1.899.640,69).
