Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Naked Man on a Bed (H. 40) by Lucian Freud was sold in the British Printmaking auction at Christies in London in April 2007. The auction ended at the price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,784.77), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucian Freud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Large Interior, W11 (after Watteau) in November last year with an auction result of USD 86,265,000.00 (€ 83,565,823.89).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Naked Man on a Bed (H. 40) von Lucian Freud wurde im April 2007 in der Auktion British Printmaking bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.784,77) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucian Freud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Large Interior, W11 (after Watteau) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.265.000,00 (€ 83.565.823,89).
