Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Concetto spaziale, Attese by Lucio Fontana was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Evening Sale Part II auction at Phillips in New York in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,512,000.00 (€ 1,386,138.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucio Fontana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concetto Spaziale, La Fine Di Dio in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 29,173,000.00 (€ 27,620,715.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Concetto spaziale, Attese von Lucio Fontana wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Evening Sale Part II bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.512.000,00 (€ 1.386.138,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucio Fontana erzielen.
