This work of art by Mabel Lucie Attwell could be acquired at Christies in London in December 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Feeding the birds changed hands for GBP 750.00 (€ 924.96) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Mabel Lucie Attwell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work We're going on a ride on dear old quack - all the way there and all the way back. in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,178.57).
