Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work 'Sh-u-sh!' by Mabel Lucie Attwell. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,387.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Mabel Lucie Attwell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work We're going on a ride on dear old quack - all the way there and all the way back. in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,178.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Sh-u-sh!' von Mabel Lucie Attwell zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.387,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mabel Lucie Attwell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit We're going on a ride on dear old quack - all the way there and all the way back. im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.287,50 (€ 8.178,57).
