Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Constructivo Tubular by Manuel Pailós was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,711.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Manuel Pailós have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 68,142.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Constructivo Tubular von Manuel Pailós kam im Mai 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.711,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Pailós auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 68.142,43).
