Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Formas En Rojo Y Blanco by Manuel Pailós was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,426.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel Pailós achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 68,142.43).

Die Arbeit Formas En Rojo Y Blanco von Manuel Pailós kam im Mai 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.426,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manuel Pailós erzielen.
